Ornge air ambulance says its crews have airlifted a woman to a Toronto trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on Highway 401 in Pickering.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told Global News the incident involved two vehicles.
He said the crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Highway 401 westbound collectors lanes near Liverpool Road were shutdown as a result of the collision.
All traffic was diverted to the westbound express lines at Brock Road.
