Peterborough police have arrested a second suspect in an alleged convenience store robbery in late December involving bear spray.
Around 1:25 p.m. on Dec. 29, police say two women entered a Parkhill Road East convenience store and approached the counter where they made a purchase.
When the employee opened the cash register, police say one suspect grabbed the register while the other deployed bear spray in the employee’s face. The suspects fled the store with an unknown amount of cash, police say.
On Dec. 30, police arrested Autumn Elizabeth Nesbitt, 20, of no fixed address in Peterborough, and charged her with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon (bear spray) and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
At the time police issued a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect, who was located Monday night.
Jenna Marie Kennedy, 22, of Chamberlain Street, Peterborough, was charged with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
She was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
