Hamilton and Halton police team up to arrest wanted man

Police in Hamilton and Halton Region have teamed up to arrest a Burlington man.

Police say the accused was arrested Thursday after they investigated offences that allegedly took place over a two-week period.

Michael Bretton, 34, faces 21 charges, including possession of stolen property — which included two cars — possession of illicit drugs such as cocaine and crystal meth, and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Police say he is also wanted by multiple jurisdictions on outstanding arrest warrants.

Other charges include failing to comply with probation, theft under $5,000, and assault with intent to resist arrest.
