An extensive investigation has led to theft charges for a Brighton, Ont., couple in connection with a volunteer organization.
In July 2018, Northumberland OPP began a probe into a reported theft from an organization in the town of Brighton, about 35 kilometres east of Cobourg.
On Friday, police said they made two arrests on Thursday.

The name of the volunteer-based organization was not provided.
Ricky Chapman, 50, and Suzanne Chapman, 50, both of Brighton, were arrested and charged with theft over $5,000.
They were both released and are scheduled to appear in court in Brighton on March 5.
