Unofficial results released by Elections Alberta on Friday afternoon showed UCP candidate Jason Copping won the seat in Calgary-Varsity.
Below is a full list of the candidates in the riding of Calgary-Varsity, an area that includes the University of Calgary in the city’s northwest.

After winning her seat in 2015, NDP MLA Stephanie McLean is not running for re-election in this riding. In December, McLean resigned from her position in the Alberta legislature, leaving this riding without an incumbent.

History
McLean, who announced in May 2018 she would not seek re-election, won the seat in the 2015 election.
Prior to that, the seat was held by Progressive Conservative Donna Kennedy-Glans from 2012 to 2015. Kennedy-Glans did not run in the 2015 election.
The Liberal Party had victories by Harry Chase in Calgary-Varsity in 2004 and 2008.
