History

This is a renamed riding, covering the same area as the former Edmonton-Calder riding.

The riding is currently represented by David Eggen, who was one the few NDP MLAs not elected for the first time during the 2015 orange crush, which saw the Alberta NDP stomp out a 44-year Progressive Conservative dynasty in the province.

Eggen has been the MLA since 2004.
