Montreal police are investigating after the body of a 35-year-old man was found on Provost Street in Lachine Tuesday.
“The death is being treated as suspicious,” said Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
“There was some new information that was brought forward to investigators.”
Officers arrived on the scene around 4 a.m. Tuesday to find the man unconscious on the ground next to a parked car.

Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful.
Police believe he fell on the icy street, but are no longer sure if it was an accident or not.

“He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” said Brabant.
There is a police command post in the area. The man was not known to police.
So far, no arrests have been made.
