2 pedestrians injured after 2-vehicle collision in Milton: Halton police

Halton regional police say a teenager is in critical condition and a woman suffered serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision involving a car and minivan in Milton.

Officers responded to a call at the intersection of Thompson Road South and McCuaig Drive, just east of Thompson Road South and Main Street East at around 7 p.m.

Police said a 27-year-old woman was driving southbound on Thompson Road when she struck two pedestrians attempting to cross at a crosswalk. The driver then hit a minivan.

Investigators said a 14-year-old boy was transported to hospital in critical condition. A 23-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the driver and passenger inside the minivan were not hurt. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment and was later released.
