Nova Scotia RCMP say 3 people dead, 1 injured after crash near Antigonish

RCMP are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that claimed three lives in Nova Scotia’s Antigonish County.

Police say they responded to the collision shortly before 4 p.m., on Highway 104 in the community of Dagger Woods, N.S.

Police say that as a result of the collision a 67-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman, who were travelling in a 2006 Honda Civic, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two occupants of the second vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, were transported to by EHS to St. Marta’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish.

One of the occupants, a 60-year-old woman, later died at the hospital. The other occupant remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of two occupants in the third vehicle, a 2013 Ford F-150, was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A RCMP collision analyst attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

As a result of the crash, Highway 104 was closed until approximately 10 p.m., with traffic being detoured on to the Dagger Woods Road.

The Mounties say their investigation is ongoing.
