Three men were injured after two semi trucks crashed about 17 kilometres east of Calgary, on Highway 22X and Highway 791 on Wednesday night, EMS said.
Emergency services from Rocky View County responded to the multi-vehicle crash at around 9:30 p.m, police said.
Two of the victims, one of whom was flown by STARS air ambulance to a Calgary hospital, were in critical, life-threatening condition, EMS confirmed.
The other victim had non-life threatening injuries, EMS added.
RCMP said they do not recommend travelling in the area.
“Snowstorms in southern Alberta have continued to create extreme driving conditions on both Highways 22X and Highway 791,” RCMP said in a news release.
