A cyclist was killed after being run over by a car near the intersection of Spitzig Road and Highway 7 near Woodland Christian High School in Breslau Tuesday morning.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said officers were called to the scene at 7 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a cyclist trapped under a car.

He said the cyclist needed to be extricated by emergency responders.
A 40-year-old man from the Kitchener area was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not providing his name until his family has been notified.
Ornge Air was called to the scene but say that shortly after takeoff, the call was cancelled.
Schmidt said another three-vehicle collision occurred at the scene when one motorist stopped to look at the scene of the first incident.
He said the highway is expected to be closed for at least another hour.

“Out collision reconstruction team from the Highway Safety Division are on scene right now conducting their technical investigation,” Schmidt said.
