Hamilton police say a 35-year-old man has been seriously injured after he collided with an HSR bus.

Police say the man entered the roadway and hit the side of the bus around 1230 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and Locke.

Police have been quoted as saying that the man ran at the bus “full force, then struck his head on the sidewalk.”

There were no passengers on board the bus at the time.

Police say speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
