54 charges laid after searches turn up guns, drugs in Prince Albert, Sask.

Six people are facing a total of 54 criminal code charges after two separate homes were searched by police in Prince Albert, Sask.

An investigation by the integrated street enforcement team led to the searches in the midtown area of the city shortly after 11 a.m. CT on Aug. 14.

Prince Albert police, SWAT, and canine unit members assisted in the arrests of 14 people.

Numerous firearms, drugs, ammunition, cash, and a bulletproof vest were seized.

Following a search at 406 11th St. East, two women and two men were charged with numerous firearms-related charges.

One man and a woman face numerous firearms and drug related offences after the other search at 460 13th St. East.

The accused, all from Prince Albert, are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 15.
