Woman armed with needle demands $40 at Prince Albert store

A search is underway for a woman who reportedly used a needle during an armed robbery in Prince Albert, Sask.

Prince Albert police were called to the theft at a store in the 2600-block of 2nd Avenue West at roughly 5:20 a.m. CT on July 16.

Upon arrival, a lone employee told police the woman walked behind the counter, pointed an uncapped needle at the worker and demanded $40 from the till.

Police said she pulled the cash drawer from the till and fled with it on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The woman is described as Caucasian, roughly 50 years old, and has brown hair with blonde and pink streaks. She was wearing a blue-coloured jacket and pink pants.
