No one was injured after a car slammed through the front of a pizza restaurant in Peterborough on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at Free Topping Pizza on Lansdowne Street West.
The female driver was assisted by firefighters to get out of the vehicle which managed to reach up to the front cash register area. The owner of the store and an employee inside were not injured.
There were initially concerns about a possible gas leak but firefighters did not find any issues.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
A witness said the woman was backing out of the parking lot and struck another parked car, before careening through the storefront window.
