The day before a fatal shooting in Hamilton left one man dead, there was another shooting in the city, involving a parked car.
Police say around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, a resident of Elgar Avenue, reported hearing a series of loud bangs and later awoke to find their vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
Police believe this is a targeted shooting and there is no threat to public safety.
On Wednesday morning, one man was shot dead — and three others were injured — after gunshots rang out near King East and East Avenue North. The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Michael Campbell of Brampton.
