Provincial police closed Highway 401 westbound between Iona and Currie roads for roughly four hours after a single-vehicle crash late Friday morning.
According to police, a westbound vehicle lost control, entered the north ditch, and rolled just after 10:30 a.m.

The male driver has been transported to hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries while the female passenger received medical care at the scene.
The highway reopened to traffic just after 3 p.m. Friday.
