Emergency water valve repair on College Drive in Saskatoon

The City of Saskatoon is advising motorists about traffic delays on College Drive while emergency repairs are completed.

A water valve leak was identified at the intersection of College and Hospital Drive early Thursday morning.

Around 50 homes and businesses are experiencing water service interruptions. Royal University Hospital is not impacted by this water outage.

Repairs will start Friday morning and are expected to take two days to complete.

The city said two-way traffic will be maintained but delays can be expected.

Additionally, ongoing sidewalk work on College has reduced lane access in this area for several days. The city said the leak is unrelated to this work.

Drivers are encouraged to seek out another route while this work is underway. This construction will also impact Saskatoon Transit routes.

The city is asking motorists to respect work zones, watch for pedestrians as well as obey all detours, signs and barriers.
