The New Brunswick RCMP have arrested a Moncton man after a seizure of 180,000 illegal cigarettes in Prince William, N.B.
Police say that on July 6, at approximately 10:20 a.m., they received a report of a vehicle in a ditch off the Trans-Canada Highway in Prince William.

As part of their investigation, police seized 180,000 contraband cigarettes that were located in the trunk and back of the car.

As a result, a 43-year-old man from Moncton was arrested at the scene and later released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
The Mounties say their investigation is ongoing.
