Durham police have made an arrest after a woman was robbed while she left the RBC bank branch on King Street in Bowmanville on Tuesday.
Police say the 71-year-old woman had just withdrawn a large sum of money. While making her way to her vehicle, a man rammed his bike into her, knocking her to the ground. The suspect took the cash and fled the scene.
Reno Dilauro, 34, of King Street in Clarington, was arrested shortly after the incident and has been charged with robbery.
The victim sustained minor injuries and all the money has been recovered and returned.
