15 years in prison for Calgary man who admitted to brutal attacks on 2 women

A Calgary man has pleaded guilty to three charges in connection with two disturbing and violent attacks on the city’s south side last fall.

Bogdan Radulescu has admitted to the charges of aggravated sexual assault, choking with intent and assault causing bodily harm in the attacks along Macleod Trail at 100 Avenue S.E. on Oct. 28, 2017.

Police arrived to find a woman had been assaulted at one location with the suspect running to another business in the plaza to physically and sexually assaulting a woman who worked there.

Radulescu, 32, was originally facing several charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault.

According to Alberta Justice, Radulescu made the pleas in court on Friday and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. With credit for time already served, he has 14 years remaining.
