Four Waterloo restaurants were listed among the country’s best for outdoor dining in a list released on Wednesday.
Wildcraft Grill and Bar, Sole Restaurant and Bar, Proof Kitchen and Lounge and The Bauer Kitchen all made Open Table’s 100 Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Canada for 2018.
Forty-one Ontario restaurants made the cut for the list which was not ranked.

“The longest day of the year marks open season on Canada’s patios. The option to enjoy food and drink in an al-fresco setting makes the experience that much more memorable,” Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable, said in a statement. “This list is a delicious resource for locals and travellers seeking to make the most of their summer eating adventures.”
The list was compiled from more than 550,000 reviews of outdoor dining of Canadian eateries on the company’s website made between May 1, 2017, and April 30, 2018. The restaurants needed both a minimum number of reviews and a minimum number of top scores in order to make the cut.

While no restaurants in Kitchener or Cambridge were honoured, there were two Guelph restaurants which made the list: Earth to Table: Bread Bar and Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro.
Berkeley North in Hamilton and Dolcetto in London were included on the list of top outdoor restaurants as well.
