A second evacuation order for Crutwell and homes north of hamlet to Highway 3 has ended.
Residents were ordered from their homes Tuesday afternoon as an out of control wildfire threatened the community.
The order was ended Tuesday evening by Saskatchewan’s Emergency Communication Centre after was deemed the Rally fire no longer posed an immediate threat to the public.
People in Holbein, Crutwell, and residents south of Highway 3 between the two communities are still being told to be prepared to evacuate immediately if required.
The Rally fire started Saturday south of Holbein, roughly 35 kilometres west of Prince Albert and more than 2,100 hectares has burned as of Tuesday night.
The Ministry of Environment said the fire is believed to have been human caused.
As of Wednesday morning there were eight active wildfires in the province, two which have not been contained.
A fire ban has been issued for the province from the Churchill River south to the U.S. border to reduce the threat of new fires.
