Central Okanagan Emergency Operations said the road was reopened after the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure assessed the safety and slope stability of the area.

Two properties below the slide are under evacuation order.

During the road closure affected residents had to travel to Vernon or Kelowna and take Highway 97 to get to their destination.
