Police on Monday said they seized a “handgun-style pellet” gun.

After investigation, the 33-year-old woman from Kitchener was released without charges. She was a passenger in the vehicle.

The driver, Troy Blacker-Roach, 25, also from Kitchener, was charged with the following offences:

  • Pointing a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Careless driving
  • Driving while under suspension

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Cobourg on June 6.

“The vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days and no-one was injured as a result of what could best be described as a ‘road rage’ incident,” said Bates.
