Surrey RCMP say charges have been laid against a suspect related to a fire that destroyed a sports equipment store last year.
The incident took place on Sep. 23. The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, located near Surrey Central SkyTrain Station, went up in flames around 7:30 a.m.
Fortunately, no one was injured.

Police released a picture of two possible suspects back in December.

RCMP say they’ve charged James Marvin Haslam with one count of arson. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Thursday.
The family-run business was established in 1988 and moved to the Surrey location in 2011.
