Kelowna fire crews were busy Tuesday morning putting out three fires in the city.
One of the blazes broke out around 6:00 a.m. at the Omega Communications building on Kirschner Road.
Omega Communications Vice President Russ Coughlan said the fire was believed to be in a server room. The fire department said the flames “extended into the floor and ceiling.”

Coughlan raced down to the business after hearing about the fire but was still waiting to find out more out the extent of the damage.
“Most of our business is downstairs so we are hoping it is confined to the upstairs and they can get it vented and we can get back in business” Coughlan said.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation but it is not believed to be suspicious.
Smoke from the fire also permeated a neighbouring yarn business.
A third fire involved a building attached to Global Okanagan offices on Leon Ave.
