A Regina man is facing charges after two robberies in Regina on Saturday night.

At approximately 10:12 p.m., police were dispatched to a reported robbery at a local business on the 300 block of McDonald Street.

In reports obtained from the police, the suspect demanded money and had threatened to shoot the staff. The suspect left in a vehicle without cash or merchandise and headed eastbound on McDonald Street towards Ring Road.

Officers were then dispatched to a service station for reports of a robbery. The report indicated a male had entered the business demanding money and merchandise. After successfully obtaining both, he caused damage to the store and then fled.

Soon later, the suspect’s vehicle was then located and found un-occupied at the on-ramp to Ring Road heading north.

The 34-year-old suspect was found intoxicated nearby, although no firearm was located, it is believed that the suspect was concealing his finger to mimic gunpoint.

Jamie A Morris, of Regina, is charged with armed robbery, uttering threats, mischief under $5,000 and numerous other charges.

Morris made his first appearance on these charges in provincial court on Tuesday morning.
