It took 75 firefighters and two hours to tame the fire engulfing Teddy’s Deli-Bar on the east end in the Pointe-Aux-Trembles neighbourhood.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

When they arrived, fire had taken over the roof and spread to the restaurant’s interior.

Montreal’s fire department believes the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring.

Damages are estimated at $700,000.

No injuries were reported.
