Another polar plunge ahead, but there is some relief on the way!

Saskatoon Forecast

Monday

After a frigid weekend daytime highs barely into minus single digits and wind chills down to -32 as temperatures dipped to -24 Sunday morning, a slight improvement has moved in for the work week.

Cloudy skies kept conditions slightly warmer this morning, with the mercury only falling to -12 with wind chills in the low minus teens and we were even able to warm up into minus single digits before noon!

Clouds cleared out even more during the afternoon as we warmed up another degree or so to a daytime high around -8, which felt like the mid-minus teens with wind chill.

Tuesday

The mid -20s is what it will feel like Tuesday morning with wind chill in Saskatoon with a few sunny breaks to start the day before clouds roll in.

Those clouds are associated with a cold front pushing through, which will switch winds from the southwest to the northwest, but depending on the exact timing of it coming through, we could get as warm as -7 for an afternoon high.

There is a good chance of snow moving in Tuesday night as cold air continues pressing in across the region.

Wednesday-Friday

We take the polar plunge again behind the cold front on Wednesday, with temperatures stuck in minus double digits all day as clouds clear back out.

Warmer air starts pushing back in on Thursday as we tap into some upper ridging, which will keep us in the sun to start the day before some clouds move in later on as we rise to an afternoon high in minus single digits.

Another system will swing through on Friday and bring in a good chance of snow and also help further boost us up into mid-minus single digits for an afternoon high.

Remembrance Day Weekend Outlook

There is still some discrepancy for the Remembrance Day weekend forecast with clouds in and out through the period and daytime highs in mid minus single digits and lows in the minus teens.
