A 38-year-old woman from Fergus has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash near Elora.

OPP officers responded to the crash on County Road 21 near Fourth Line Thursday afternoon just before 5 p.m.

Police said a dump truck and a 2013 Mazda 3 collided and the driver of the Mazda, Amy Stiles, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The dump truck driver was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s not known if any charges will be laid in the investigation.

County Road 21 was closed for several hours Thursday and re-opened early Friday morning.

Elora is about 20 kilometres north of Guelph.
