A 19-year-old man has been arrested by Halifax Regional Police, after a woman was allegedly pulled into a wooded area at the Mount Saint Vincent University campus and sexually assaulted.
Police say the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday outside Vinnie’s Pub on the campus.

Police were called at 4:24 a.m. to investigate.
The victim, a 24-year-old woman was taken to hospital for assessment of non life-threatening injuries.
Officers identified a suspect and just before 9 a.m., the suspect was arrested at the Westwood Residence on campus without incident.
“The suspect and the victim are not known to each other. They were outside the pub and the incident occurred thereafter. We’re still investigating,” said Const. Dianne Penfound.
Penfound says the suspect was staying at one of the residences but is not a student at the university.
The man was taken to police headquarters to be questioned and so far, no charges have been laid.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to call police at 902-490-5020 or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
