One man was rushed to hospital on Friday morning after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Calgary.
It happened in the intersection of 9 Avenue and 11 Street S.W. just before 5 a.m. The victim was hit by a white Toyota SUV.
Calgary EMS said the victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital in serious and non-life-threatening condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
It’s unknown if speed or alcohol may have played a role in the collision.
The incident caused the temporary closure of at least one eastbound lane of 9 Avenue S.W.
