The London Health Sciences Centre has named its new president and CEO and he’s a Western grad.
Officials announced Wednesday morning that Dr. Paul Woods will take on the role as of Jan. 15, 2018.
“After a comprehensive search process, the board unanimously selected Dr. Woods to lead LHSC through the next chapter of health system transformation,” said Ramona Robinson, chair of LHSC’s board of directors in a release, Wednesday. “We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Woods, who has the skills, knowledge and abilities needed to take the excellent foundational work the hospital has undertaken over the past several years to the next level.”
Most recently, Woods was the senior vice-president for Trinity Health in Livonia, Mich., where he was responsible for the financial, quality and operational performance of the $3-billion enterprise encompassing sites across 22 states.
Originally from Ontario, Woods received his medical degree from Western University and also has a Master of Science degree from Dartmouth.
