ParticipACTION 150 Play List stops in Montreal

For those wanting to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, ParticipACTION 150 made a quick stop in Montreal on Saturday.

“This year, we are challenging Canadians to try as much activities as the play list offers,” said Valerie Taillon, spokesperson for the 150 Play List.

ParticipACTION created the 150 Play List as a national fitness campaign aimed at helping Canadians keep active.

Running all year long, the 150 Play List has been setting up events from coast to coast, making 100 stops across the country.

On Saturday, the event set up shop in the outdoor area of the Uniprix Stadium, near Jarry Park.

“It’s for everyone,” said Taillon. “You can try tennis, trampolines, there’s even pillow fighting.”

Before the rain started, Montrealers showed up and embraced the fun.

“I saw the frisbee, the lacrosse, the hockey,” said Montreal resident Stephane Dadoun. “It’s good that it’s about sports, especially when it’s about children and sports.”
