Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Chris Randle named CFL Top Performer

A comeback-crushing pick-six by Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive back Chris Randle in Saturday’s 28-19 win over the Eskimos has earned him a Shaw CFL Top Performer of the Week award.

Randle intercepted a Mike Reilly pass late in the fourth quarter, returning it 37 yards for a touchdown. He also logged five tackles in the game.

The six-year CFL veteran leads the Bombers with five interceptions this season. Randle’s 41 defensive tackles through 13 games is one shy of matching his single-season best.

This is the 12th time this year a member of the Bombers has been recognized by the league.
