Student charged after BB handgun found in E.D. Feehan Catholic High School locker

A student has been charged for allegedly bringing a firearm to his Saskatoon high school.

Saskatoon police were called to E.D. Feehan Catholic High School in the 400-block of Avenue M North on Friday at around 10:20 a.m. CT for a report of a student who had a firearm.

The school initiated lock down procedures as a precaution.

Officers located the 14-year-old boy, who was taken into custody without incident.

A firearm, determined to be a BB handgun, was located by officers in a locker.

The teen has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.

He is scheduled to appear Friday evening before a justice of the peace.
