Due to free admission, parking may be at a premium at these locations so people are encouraged to use transit. ETS will be operating shuttle service to the Valley Zoo and Fort Edmonton Park between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Regular transit fare applies.
The city said the Metro Line LRT will be running at 30-minute frequency on Sunday instead of every 15 minutes, because of planned track-level maintenance.
The city said free admission day is only at the locations listed above and does not apply to other City of Edmonton facilities or services, such as transit.
Non-perishable food items for Edmonton’s Food Bank will be accepted at the Terwillegar rec centre, Clareview rec centre, Fort Edmonton Park and the zoo. This year, monetary donations will also be accepted at most locations.
