Saskatoon Forecast
Thursday
It was a frosty start to the final full day of summer in the Saskatoon area as temperatures slid just below the freezing mark by 0.2 of a degree with snow indicated on radar in parts of northwest Saskatchewan.
Some sunshine started the day before cloud cover built in by late morning as we rose up into high single digits by noon.
Much needed rain also fell in parts of northern Saskatchewan, with nearly 90 millimetres as of Thursday afternoon reported near Pelican Narrows, where all evacuees are now able to return home.
Cloudy skies stuck around for the rest of the day with an upper disturbance slipping through and bringing in a chance of showers into the evening after we rose up to a high in low double digits.
We fell back to -1 overnight with frost in the city before clouds built in by early in the morning.
Friday
Fall officially kicks off in Saskatchewan on Friday at 2:01 p.m. CT with clouds sticking around for the day along with a slight chance of showers.
It’ll be a struggle, but we’re aiming for an afternoon high in low double digits by the time the new season officially kicks off.
Weekend
Mostly cloudy skies will stick around for the majority of the weekend with a slight chance of showers on Saturday before we get into a bit more sunshine possible on Sunday.
Daytime highs will continue to be cooler for the first weekend of fall, in low double digits on Saturday, before rising up a few degrees into the low teens for Sunday.
Work Week Outlook
A warmer and slightly sunnier first full week of fall is expected next week with daytime highs pushing from the mid-teens early on into the upper teens by mid-week.
