Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was struck and killed by a vehicle in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police received a call at 6:25 a.m. Friday about a collision on Hurontario and Eglinton Avenue East.
Police said a woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle.
The female pedestrian was rushed to a trauma centre where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
There’s no word yet on the exact cause of the crash.
The Major Collision Bureau has taken over the investigation.
