A Regina man is facing assault charges after a woman was assaulted in the Heritage area of the city on Sunday evening.
Police were called to the 1900 block of Quebec Street where it was reported that a man was assaulting a woman. The man left the area and police found the woman in a housed where she was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

Police found the man matching the description of the suspect and took him into custody.
A 36-year-old who also lives in the same residence is charged with aggravated assault. His name will not be released at this time.
The man will make his first court appearance on Monday morning.
