Two people are dead after a serious crash on Highway 97 south of Falkland.
It appears a minivan and pickup truck collided head on, with the minivan then bursting into flames. The drivers of both vehicles died on scene. They were the only occupants.
The highway isn’t expected to re-open until 6 p.m. according to Drive BC.

A detour is in place and single-lane traffic is being rerouted there, for motorists to drive around Round Lake, but expect at least an hour delay.
The victim’s identities aren’t being released at this time.
