Homicide detectives are investigating after an Edmonton Police Service officer allegedly fired shots on Whyte Ave late Wednesday night.
Police said southwest division officers were investigating a suspected stolen vehicle near a convenience store at 99 Street and Whyte Ave just after 10 p.m., when an officer fired shots.

Police are on the look out for an older model, four-door, white Ford F-350 diesel truck and its driver.

The Director of Law Enforcement was notified and directed homicide detectives to investigate the incident.
Police have not provided details on the condition of a victim or victims in the alleged police shooting.
