Comedian Patton Oswalt and his actress girlfriend, Meredith Salenger, are preparing to head down the aisle.
Publicists have confirmed to ET Canada that the Emmy Award-winning stand-up, 48, and the former Hollywood Heights star, 47, are indeed engaged and “very much in love.” The news was first reported by People.

The happy couple recently went public with their relationship at the Los Angeles premiere of Baby Driver, and have been proudly sharing their love for one another on social media ever since.
The news comes just fifteen months after the passing of Oswalt’s wife, Michelle McNamara, who died unexpectedly in her sleep in April 2016 at age 46. The pair had one child together, an eight-year-old daughter named Alice Rigney.
Oswalt has been very honest about his grief following the loss of his wife and has spoken openly about the struggles of raising a young child as a single parent.

Salenger, who had her first big break in the 1985 movie The Journey of Natty Gann, not-so-subtly acknowledged the engagement news in an Instagram post on Wednesday night.
The photo features the actress catching a bouquet of flowers at a friend’s wedding.
“Once upon a time… in 2008… at my friend’s wedding… I caught the bouquet… #fairytalesdoexist.” Salenger captioned the photo.
