Man airlifted to Halifax after motorcycle crash on Cabot Trail

RCMP say a man has been injured after his motorcycle struck a guardrail while driving along the Cabot Trail.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say the man was airlifted to the QEII Hospital in Halifax with what are being described as undetermined injuries.

There is limited information available at this time about what led to the crash.

RCMP say a collision analyst is on scene working to piece together what happened.

Traffic in the area is being diverted. It’s expected the highway between Pleasant Bay and the MacKenzie Mountain look off will be closed until sometime Tuesday evening.
