When you turn 100, this is how you should celebrate.
Brazilian twins Maria Pignaton Pontin and Paulina Pignaton Pandolfi, who will celebrate their 100th birthday on Wednesday, had an adorable photo shoot together to mark the occasion.
The photos, which were posted to Facebook by photographer Camila Lima of Camila Lima Fotografia, have started getting attention around the world.
“The shoot was very chill, they were really excited and happy,” Lima tells Global News via e-mail. “They did everything I asked of them and never complained that they were tired.”

The shoot includes both grandmothers dressed in patterned dresses, holding balloons and having a Pinterest-worthy picnic with matching outfits and cakes.

“I’ve never met anyone that is 100 years old, and definitely not twins,” she says. In that same hour, I contacted their family and I offered a photography session as a gift.”

Meet Paulina and Maria
Lima says Paulina has six children, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Maria has five children, 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Paulina is also a survivor of intestinal cancer, and she survived two heart attacks, Lima adds.
“When one has something going on, the other gets really anxious about it. When both are well, they can’t agree on anything, but they don’t let go of each other.
Lima also shared a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot on Facebook.
Twins around the world
According to the Guinness World Records, the world’s oldest living female twins are Raymonde Saumade and Lucienne Grare of France. They will be 104 this year.
And in 2016, the world’s oldest male twins, Pieter and Paulus Langerock of Belgium, celebrated their 103rd birthday by raising a glass of wine together, The Guardian reports.
