B.C. election 2017 coverage recap

Christy Clark’s BC Liberals will likely form the party’s fifth consecutive government but whether it’s a majority or minority is still unclear as recounts and absentee ballots could sway some ridings.

Clark’s Liberals finished the night with 43 ridings, to the NDP’s 41. The Green Party won in three ridings.

BC Greens Leader Andrew Weaver claimed his seat of Oak Bay-Gordon Head and his mother could not have been more proud.

“Andrew, I am so proud of you, you were well worth it,” she said.

“He was born with a big head but there were brains in it.”
