Pedestrian suffers serious injuries; driver flees

A suspected hit-and-run in the north Okanagan has put a 56-year-old pedestrian in hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP say they were called to Old Sicamous Road and Grandview Bench Road in Grindrod at about 6:30 p.m. Monday.

They say the man’s injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Officers spoke with numerous people but didn’t find anyone who saw the collision.

Police would like to contact the driver of a small, red crew-cab pickup truck that was seen in the area.
