Stolen vehicles recovered in Prince Albert, Sask.

Two people have been charged after Prince Albert police officers recovered two stolen vehicles in the northern Saskatchewan city.

The first vehicle was found Thursday evening when it was spotted by officers in an alley behind an apartment building in the 500-block of 28 Street West.

Officers then saw a man wanted on outstanding warrants leave an apartment and get into the vehicle.

The area was contained and the 31-year-old Prince Albert man was arrested.

He has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of stolen licence plates.

Then early Friday morning, patrol officers pulled over a stolen vehicle on 3 Avenue West after spotting it in the area of 28 Street and 2 Avenue West.

A 34-year-old Prince Albert woman was taken into custody.

She has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and impaired driving.

Both are scheduled to appear in Prince Albert provincial court on Friday.
