Edmonton police have laid charges against a 33-year-old man in connection to a 2014 homicide.
On Wednesday, June 4, 2014, officers were called to 174 Street and Stony Plain Road at 1:45 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the body of a woman inside a storage shed.
The victim, 35-year-old Freda Goodrunning, from the Sunchild First Nation in west central Alberta, was killed by blunt force trauma.
It was Edmonton’s 12th homicide of 2014.
On Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, 33-year-old Jesse Martin was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
